Ford Escape Stuff

Welcome to my corner of the web β€” the personal site of a Kentucky Ford Escape owner. Photos of the truck, a radio-controlled Bigfoot built from a Barbie Escape, dancing Escape animations, printable Escape-Central business cards, and real DIY maintenance notes from the driveway.

Around the site

Everything Escape, all in one place

Seven corners of the site, each one built around a Ford Escape β€” the truck itself, a monster-truck tribute, and the things I learned keeping it on the road.

The story

A 2004 website, restored with love

KY-ESCAPER.COM went live in 2002, back when home pages were built in Notepad and hosted on PowWeb. The version you are reading was captured by the Internet Archive on August 30, 2004, then restored and modernized: the layout now works on phones, every page is accessible, and content lost between archives was hunted down and put back where it belongs.

Fresh from the archive

Recovered from the Wayback Machine

The 2004 capture missed a handful of images that the rest of the web archive still had β€” including the four "new BarbFeet" photos from December 2004. They now live in the Big Barb gallery and in the Bigfoot build log.

Off the clock

Off the clock: When the Escape isn't taking up all my attention, I have lately been deep in mechanical watches β€” the high-end looks, minus the second mortgage. If you want to see where my eyes keep drifting, I keep coming back to this replica watch resource; the full list of links is on the links page.
